Pre-Operation Equipment Inspection and Cleaning
Before starting any industrial dryer, operators must clean the work area and machine surroundings thoroughly. All inlet ports, over-feed rollers, mesh belts, and discharge chutes should be wiped clean. Lint and fluff filters must be pulled out and cleaned. Every piece of equipment and all instruments must be verified as intact before operation begins.
Power Safety and Startup Sequence
The correct startup sequence for industrial dryers is: connect compressed air first, close the electrical cabinet switch, turn on control power, activate mesh belt operation, start the circulation fan, then press the heating button. Never operate electrical switches with wet hands to avoid electric shock. If any abnormalities or faults occur during operation such as strange noises, immediately cut off the power supply and notify a supervisor.
Steam Valve Management
When preheating, open the gas or steam valve to reach 0.1 MPa pressure and preheat the machine for 15 minutes before loading materials. During evaporation, slowly open the main valve to raise pressure to 0.3 to 0.4 MPa. For shutdown, maintain pressure for 15 to 20 minutes, then slowly close the main steam valve and open the exhaust valve to release remaining pressure. For laundry dryers, drain cold water from the back of the machine before first daily use until steam appears. Avoid direct contact with steam pressure throughout the process.
Temperature Monitoring and Adjustment
Set the heating temperature according to process requirements after activation. Adjust mesh belt speed to approximately 5 meters per minute once the target temperature is reached. After work is finished, open oven doors and run the belt at low speed until internal temperature drops below 80 degrees Celsius before stopping the exhaust fan and belt completely.
Material Loading Protocols
Spread wet material evenly on the rollers or mesh belt. Ensure the head and tail of fabric overlap to cover the belt, leaving a 30 cm gap on both sides to prevent loss or damage. Adjust vehicle and over-feed speed to ensure loose feeding into the dryer at approximately 5 percent over-feed amount. Operators must constantly monitor for runaway materials or deviations.
High-Risk Gas and Hazardous Material Safety
Wear appropriate personal protective equipment including helmets and masks before beginning. Ensure the main gas valve is closed before ignition. Use a CO measuring instrument when checking pipes. For opening or closing gas gate valves, the two-person rule applies: one operator wearing a mask and one guardian standing at least 5 meters away. In case of sudden power or gas cut, close gas valves immediately to prevent air from entering the main pipe and causing explosions.
Mechanical Maintenance and Lubrication
Oil support rollers and drive gears three times per shift. Check the reducer once per shift and replenish lubricant as necessary. Regularly inspect the cylinder lifting flights inside the drum. If damaged or fallen off, report immediately. Report abnormal sounds immediately to prevent severe damage.
Routine Cleaning Schedules
Clean dust screens at the bottom of laundry dryers five times a day at scheduled intervals. Clean filters daily and machine radiators weekly, removing surrounding fluff and dirt. After finishing work, clean the machine body and ensure no materials are left inside overnight. Turn off power and steam valves securely, mark dried products, and store them in designated locations.
