Check that blade guides and thrust bearings are properly adjusted with clearance no more than 0.5 millimeters from the blade. Verify the table is square to the blade and all safety guards are in position. During operation, feed material steadily without forcing it. Excessive feed rate causes blade deflection, poor cut quality, and premature blade breakage. For curved cuts, make relief cuts in waste areas first to prevent the blade from binding. Always keep hands at least 50 millimeters from the blade and use push sticks for small workpieces. Regular maintenance includes weekly lubrication of guide posts and bearings, monthly inspection of wheel alignment and tire condition, and quarterly checking of motor bearings and drive belt tension. Replace worn blade guides promptly as they directly affect cutting accuracy. Common problems include blade wandering (caused by dull teeth or improper tension), excessive vibration (indicating wheel imbalance or damaged tires), and premature blade breakage (usually from overtightening or incorrect speed selection for the material).
