Their bridge-type structure provides stability and precision for demanding cutting operations. The machine consists of a cutting head mounted on a horizontal beam that moves along two parallel rails. The cutting head typically holds a diamond-tipped circular blade ranging from 350 to 600 millimeters in diameter. Water cooling is mandatory during stone cutting to prevent blade overheating, reduce dust, and extend blade life. Before operation, verify water supply pressure and flow rate meet manufacturer specifications. Check blade mounting for secure fastening and inspect the diamond segments for even wear. Ensure the workpiece is firmly clamped to the table to prevent movement during cutting. Set cutting depth to penetrate no more than 5 millimeters beyond the material bottom surface. Daily maintenance includes cleaning the bridge rails and gear racks of stone slurry and debris. Lubricate all linear motion components with water-resistant grease. Check water nozzles for blockage and verify even water distribution across the blade surface. Common faults include table tilting mechanism failure (often caused by hydraulic leaks or worn seals), irregular cutting depth (indicating worn guide bearings or loose blade mounting), and excessive vibration (suggesting blade imbalance or worn spindle bearings). Address these issues promptly to maintain cutting accuracy and prevent damage to expensive stone materials.
