Fish Gutting Machine: Usage and Maintenance Guide
A fish gutting machine (fish viscera remover) is essential equipment in fish deep processing. It can remove fish internal organs without damaging the overall shape of the fish body. Only through correct usage and maintenance can the service life of commercial fish gutting machines be extended.
Working Process of Fish Gutting Machine
The working process of a fish gutting machine can be divided into four major steps:
- Remove scales from the fish body
- Open the fish belly
- Extract the internal organs
- Clean the fish body
If all four steps are performed manually, it takes several minutes per fish with slow throughput. In winter, workers' hands are prone to cold injuries, while in summer they must endure unpleasant odors. Usage Instructions
- Read the instruction manual carefully before using the fish belly opening machine, and operate strictly according to the manual.
- Power cables should use copper wire with a cross-section of no less than 2.5mm², and a residual current device (RCD) outlet must be installed.
- Never run the fish gutting machine idle for extended periods.
- Before starting, check all parts of the machine for abnormalities. If problems are found, address them promptly to avoid serious accidents.
- If abnormal sounds or other faults are detected during operation, stop the machine first. When maintenance is needed, always disconnect the power supply and resolve the fault before resuming use.
- Never insert hands into the feed inlet while the machine is running — serious injury may result.
Maintenance and Care
- Gears and bearings should be lubricated every 3-4 months. Regular maintenance improves mechanical performance and extends service life. (Open the side covers to access the internal rotating mechanism for maintenance.)
- Protect the electrical components from oil, water, and corrosion. The grounding wire must be reliably connected according to regulations to prevent electric shock.
- After use, rinse the interior thoroughly, place in a well-ventilated area to dry, and perform rust prevention and lubrication work.
