Fish Scaler: Operation and Maintenance Guide
Automatic fish scalers (descaling machines) are efficient, energy-saving, and environmentally friendly devices widely used in catering, aquatic product processing, and other fields. Proper operation and regular maintenance are essential to ensure normal operation and extend the service life of the equipment.
Operation Procedures
- Before using the equipment, check whether the power supply matches the equipment specifications and whether the cable is damaged or properly connected.
- Before starting, check whether there are any foreign objects inside the equipment and clear them if found.
- Place the fish to be descaled into the equipment, setting the descaling time and speed according to equipment specifications and workload.
- Turn on the power, wait for the equipment to operate normally, then place the fish inside for descaling.
- Adjust the water flow speed and direction as needed to enhance descaling effectiveness.
- After descaling, turn off the power, remove the descaled fish, and clear fish scales and debris from the equipment.
- Turn off the water pump, disconnect the water supply, and clear debris from the water pipes.
Installation Precautions
- Choose a flat, level location for installation. After setting up, ensure the machine is placed on a stable position.
- Use standard power plugs and outlets, and install fuses for the fish scaler to prevent accidents.
- Avoid using damaged or substandard electrical cables.
Safety Guidelines
- Do not operate the descaling machine for excessively long periods without fish, as this may cause machine damage.
- When using the scaler, keep hands at least 40cm away from the machine head.
- Be aware of flying scale fragments during operation and keep pets and children away from the area.
- If unusual noise or vibration occurs during operation, stop immediately and inspect for faults.
Maintenance Protocols
- After daily work, clean all fish scales and debris from inside the equipment. Disinfect the interior and exterior with alcohol or clean water.
- Regularly inspect electrical wires and cables for wear, aging, or damage requiring replacement.
- Periodically check all components for looseness, deformation, or wear, and maintain or replace damaged parts promptly.
- Regularly clean internal water pipes, nozzles, water pumps, and surrounding areas to maintain hygiene.
- For extended periods of non-use, drain all water, disassemble, clean, dry, and apply lubricating oil to keep the equipment in optimal condition.
- After extended use, apply waterproof and anti-corrosion coating to the power plug, switch, and machine housing.
- Wipe the exterior with a soft, damp cloth to keep the device clean and tidy.
