Daily Maintenance Procedures

Before and after daily work, thoroughly clean the equipment to remove oxide scale, metal shavings, and other debris. These impurities can affect temperature uniformity inside the furnace and potentially damage heating elements.

Check the furnace body exterior for cracks or damage. Inspect furnace door sealing strips and observation window gaskets for integrity - replace if aged, damaged, or deformed. Check power lines, control cabinet terminals, contactors, and other electrical components for signs of heating, scorching, or damaged cable insulation. Perform all inspections in a power-off state.

Weekly Maintenance Focus

Clean the furnace chamber to remove residual oxide scale, carbon deposits, and material debris. Check cooling water pipelines, water tanks, and cooling tower operation, confirming normal water flow pressure with no leakage or blockages. Verify temperature control instrument display values and calibrate as needed. Test over-temperature alarms, over-pressure protection, emergency stop buttons, and other safety devices for sensitivity and effectiveness.

Monthly Deep Maintenance

Inspect heating element surfaces for deformation, breakage, or oxidation. Measure element resistance values and compare across different areas. Check furnace chamber refractory bricks and castables for cracking, detachment, or erosion, focusing on high-temperature areas. For furnace door lifting mechanisms, conveyors, and rotating components, check lubrication levels and verify smooth operation. Inspect hydraulic and pneumatic system pressure stability and check for leakage at pipe fittings.

Safety Protocols

Operators must wear high-temperature protective gloves, protective clothing, and safety goggles. When the furnace interior temperature is high, strictly prohibit opening the furnace door. When performing equipment repair and maintenance, first disconnect power and hang warning signs. For equipment with specific atmosphere requirements, use gas leak detectors to inspect pipelines. Establish a maintenance ledger system to record abnormal conditions and treatment results for predictive maintenance optimization.
