Introduction
Proper maintenance of a hydraulic press requires dedicated, professional, and specialized care. Following systematic maintenance procedures ensures longer equipment life, higher reliability, and safer operation.
1. Primary Maintenance (Level 1)
1.1 Hydraulic Fluid Management
ItemSpecificationRecommended OilNo. 32 or No. 46 anti-wear hydraulic oilOil Temperature Range15–60°CFilling RequirementHydraulic oil must be strictly filtered before being added to the tankOil Change IntervalWorking fluid should be replaced once per year; the first replacement must not exceed 3 months1.2 Lubrication and Cleaning
- Ram (slider): Should be lubricated regularly
- Column exposed surfaces: Should be kept clean at all times
- Before each work session: Spray lubricating oil on the column exposed surfaces
1.3 Load Limits
- Under 500T nominal pressure, the maximum allowable eccentric load offset is 40mm
- Excessive eccentricity may cause strain on columns or other adverse phenomena
1.4 Periodic Inspections
- Pressure gauge: Calibrate and inspect every six months
1.5 Long-term Storage Maintenance
- Clean all surface areas thoroughly
- Apply anti-rust oil
2. Secondary Maintenance (Level 2)
Trigger Conditions
- Perform secondary maintenance after the machine has operated for 5,000 hours
- Involves both maintenance technicians and operators
- In addition to all primary maintenance items, also includes measuring wear parts and preparing spare parts
- First disconnect the power supply before performing any maintenance work

Summary of Key Maintenance Points
Daily Maintenance
- Spray lubricating oil on column exposed surfaces before each work shift
- Keep slider lubricated and column surfaces clean
- Ensure load eccentricity does not exceed specified limits (40mm or less at 500T)
Fluid Management
- Oil type: No. 32 or 46 anti-wear hydraulic oil
- Oil temperature: 15–60 degrees C
- Pre-fill filtering: Strict filtration required before adding
- First oil change: Within 3 months
- Subsequent changes: Annually
