Comprehensive industrial dryer safe operation procedures covering daily startup checks, operation processes, safety precautions, maintenance schedules, and emergency handling protocols.

Daily Startup and Pre-Operation Checks

Before starting the equipment each day, the following checks must be completed. If any abnormalities are found, suspend use and report to the supervisor or maintenance staff. Only resume operation after faults are eliminated.

Clean the cylinder before drying to prevent color contamination. Set the drying temperature and moisture level according to process requirements. Strictly prohibit exceeding time and temperature limits. The amount of material loaded per batch must not exceed the equipment rated capacity; do not overload the equipment.

When starting, slowly open the steam control valve, opening it only 2 to 3 turns rather than fully open, to prevent steam waste, then start the equipment. If the temperature rises slowly during normal use, this may be caused by water in the steam. At this time, open the manual drain valve to drain water, but keep your hand on the valve handle, opening and closing it immediately.

Operation Process and Monitoring

During the drying process, continuously check the shrinkage condition of fabrics. If the shrinkage rate exceeds the specified range, immediately report to the supervisor or process technician. Only after obtaining consent from the supervisor or process technician can the temperature setting be changed.

After drying is complete, clean the dust filter at the lower part of the dryer to ensure moisture exhaust and ventilation. When the equipment runs the cooling cycle, close the steam control valve for the machine. Regularly clean the upper and lower fabric dust and debris from the dryer on a monthly basis.

Operational Safety Requirements

The dryer must be operated by specially designated personnel. Before operation, operators must wear proper labor protection equipment with all fasteners secured. It is strictly prohibited to operate electrical switches with wet hands to prevent electric shock. Do not wear slippers or high heels when operating equipment.

During cleaning, maintenance, servicing, and repair, the main equipment power must be turned off. Working on live equipment is strictly prohibited. When stopping operation, remove any unfinished dried fabric from the machine to prevent fabric self-ignition and fire.

Daily and Regular Maintenance

After completing daily work, clean dust and debris from the equipment surface and check whether equipment connection parts are loose. Every shift, clear lint from the filter screen and frequently clean dust from heat sink surfaces. The machine surface must also be kept clean.

Each bearing should be lubricated at least quarterly using number three lithium grease. When drum rotation speed is abnormal, adjust the tension of the V-belt. Regularly check the insulation condition of all electrical components and whether electrical elements are reliably grounded.

Regularly inspect the working condition of heating elements, fans, and other components. If damaged or aged, they should be replaced promptly. Check the heating system, fan system, and conveying system to ensure normal operation.

Emergency Handling

In the event of sudden power outage or gas supply interruption, immediately take emergency measures and close the gas valve to prevent air from entering the main pipe and causing an explosion. Fire extinguishers must be complete and effective. During equipment maintenance involving hot work, a hot work permit must be obtained after safety inspection, and a carbon monoxide alarm must be carried for monitoring during operation.
