Proper daily maintenance of industrial plastic crushers is essential for extending equipment service life, ensuring safe operation, and maintaining crushing efficiency. This guide covers the key maintenance areas that operators should address daily.

I. Cleaning and Care

Daily Cleaning

Every day before and after work, clean the crusher thoroughly. Remove dust, debris, and residual materials from the equipment surface, especially from the feed inlet, discharge outlet, and the interior of the crushing chamber. These residues not only reduce working efficiency but can also cause component wear. Use a soft cloth to wipe the equipment exterior; avoid using chemical cleaners that may corrode the equipment.

Key Component Cleaning

Regularly clean blades and screens to maintain their sharpness and integrity, ensuring optimal crushing performance. Dull or clogged blades reduce efficiency and increase motor load.

II. Lubrication and Inspection

Lubrication System Maintenance

Regularly check the crusher lubrication system to ensure sufficient and clean lubricating oil or grease. Replace lubricating oil according to the equipment manual schedule, and clean the oil tank. For parts requiring lubrication such as bearings and gears, apply the appropriate amount of lubricating oil to reduce wear and friction.

Lubrication Schedule

  • When operating intermittently 8 hours/day: add grease every 200 hours
  • When operating continuously 8 hours/day: add grease every 100 hours
  • When operating continuously 24 hours/day: add grease every 48 hours

Key Component Inspection

Regularly inspect critical parts such as bearings and cutter disks to prevent damage from prolonged wear. If necessary, repair or replace these components promptly.

III. Fastener and Electrical Inspection

Fastener Inspection

Check whether the connecting bolts of all equipment components are tight. If any are loose, tighten them immediately. Pay special attention to the fastening of high-speed rotating components to ensure that no loosening or detachment occurs during operation.

Electrical System Inspection

Check the equipment electrical system, including motors, wires, and plugs, to ensure normal operation of electrical components and prevent electrical faults. If damage or aging is found, replace promptly.

IV. Proper Operation Practices

Pre-Operation Check

Before use, check that all fasteners are tightened, belts are properly tensioned, and the main shaft rotation direction is correct.

Standardized Operation

  • Follow the equipment operation manual and avoid improper operations that cause damage.
  • Feed materials according to the equipment load requirements; do not overfeed to avoid equipment blockage or damage.
  • Never put hands, wooden sticks, or other objects into the feed inlet to force material in or out.
  • Ensure materials are carefully inspected to prevent copper, iron, stone, or other hard objects from entering the crushing chamber.
  • Do not arbitrarily change the crusher pulley to prevent the crushing chamber from exploding due to excessive speed or reduced efficiency due to too low speed.

Bearing Temperature Monitoring

Frequently check bearing temperature. During normal operation, bearing temperature rise should not exceed 40 degrees Celsius. If bearing temperature continues to rise under normal conditions, identify the cause and resolve the fault.
