Filter and Airflow Maintenance
Regular cleaning of the filter is essential to prevent blockage that can lead to equipment failure and reduced performance. Before cleaning, disconnect the power supply, loosen the screws, and remove the rear cover. Wipe the filter with a damp cloth while being careful not to wet other components to prevent rust. Check the air inlet and outlet before each use for dust or obstructions and wipe clean with a dry cloth. For units operating in environments with poor air quality and heavy pollution, more frequent cleaning is required to ensure the equipment can deliver clean indoor air.
Water System Maintenance
Ensure the water source remains connected and control the water level appropriately. If the unit operates without cooling effect, check for water shortage and investigate whether the water tap is closed, water pressure is insufficient, or the inlet valve and water pump are damaged. Replace the water in the tank regularly to maintain water quality and cooling performance. If the cold fan produces an odor, clean the filter and water tank. If the odor persists, add chlorine-based disinfectant to the water tank while the unit is running, allowing it to thoroughly soak the filter and all internal corners, repeating the disinfection process several times.
Winter Shutdown Maintenance
When the unit will not be used during winter or for extended periods, close the water inlet valve and drain all water from the bottom basin. Rinse frost and ice from the fin tubes with clean water, drain any accumulated water from the water pan, and use the axial fan to dry remaining moisture. Cover the outdoor unit with a specialized protective cover to prevent winter freezing that could cause pipe rupture. Insulate exposed pipes and drain lines to prevent freeze damage during extreme cold weather.
Summer Pre-Season Preparation
Before summer operation, check all functions of the cold fan including cooling effect and air delivery performance. Verify that the fan is level and positioned away from heat sources or flammable materials. Clean or replace the wet curtain media if it has deteriorated over the winter. Test the water pump and confirm that the water distribution system is functioning properly. Check all electrical connections for security and verify that the power supply voltage is stable and within the rated range.
Professional Maintenance Schedule
Regularly check the circuit and motor for normal operation, and arrange for timely repair or replacement if abnormalities are detected. Lubricate bearings every three months using lithium-based grease as specified by the manufacturer. Check for abnormal sounds or vibration during operation which may indicate bearing wear or loose components. Inspect the wet curtain and cooling pads for scaling or biological growth, and replace them when cleaning is no longer effective. Schedule comprehensive professional maintenance at least twice per year, ideally before the summer peak cooling season and after it ends.
