Welding Fixture Cleaning, Lubrication and Fastening Procedures
industryinchina
Detailed procedures for cleaning, lubricating, and fastening welding fixtures to ensure precision and durability.
1. Fixture Cleaning and Maintenance
- Regularly disassemble fixtures for cleaning to remove dust and debris.
- Use clean soft cloths or brushes for cleaning; do not use hard objects.
- After cleaning, dry thoroughly without leaving water to prevent rust.
- For high-temperature fixtures, wait for cooling before cleaning.
- Apply a small amount of machine oil or degreaser on fixture surfaces for protection.
2. Fixture Lubrication
- Timely add lubricating oil or grease to fixture components to improve service life.
- Clean surfaces before using lubricants.
- Do not use excessive lubricant to avoid contaminating fixtures.
- After fixture operation, wipe off surface lubricant to avoid oil-dust adhesion.
3. Fixture Fastening
- Before using fixtures, check fasteners to ensure nothing is loose.
- Fasteners should be tightened according to torque values specified in the manual to prevent over-tightening or under-tightening.
- Fasteners should be checked regularly; tighten if loose.
- Replace aged or deformed fasteners promptly.
4. Other Precautions
- Avoid overload and overspeed processing when using fixtures.
- Do not expose fixtures to chemicals to avoid corrosion of fixture materials.
- Store fixtures in clean, dry, and ventilated places away from humidity and sunlight.
- Regularly check fixture airtightness to prevent compressed air leakage.
