Avoid droplets when handling Methylene Chloride Solvent and wear appropriate personal protective equipment. Avoid letting released vapors and mist droplets enter the air in the work area. Operate in a well-ventilated specific area and use the minimum dosage, and have emergency response equipment readily available for fire fighting and spills.

Be aware that hazardous residues may remain in empty storage containers. Do not use Methylene Chloride Solvent near welding, flames or hot surfaces. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated place without direct sunlight. The storage area should be separated from the densely populated work area, and personnel access to the area should be restricted.

Store away from heat, flame and incompatible materials, such as strong oxidants, strong acids, and nitric acid. Methylene Chloride Solvent should be stored in appropriately labeled containers. Unused containers and empty drums should be tightly covered to avoid damage to the containers and regularly inspect the drums for defects such as breakage or spillage. Containers are galvanized or lined with synthetic resin to reduce the possibility of methylene chloride decomposition.
